Gotts Street Park came together through the experimental jazz scene in Leeds. Influenced by jazz, the band shared an even greater fondness for hip-hop and soul, Aretha Franklin and Wilson Pickett. Their sound can best be described a vintage, saturated-sounding mix between hip-hop and soul through the use of analog synths, electric guitar riffs and heavy bass sounds. Individually, the band members have already produced and written for artists such as Kali Uchis, Yellow Days, Celeste and Mabel. The three-piece band prefers to convey their music on record, exactly the way it feels when they are writing in the studio.
